Panel Moderator: Dr. Katie Clark
Katie is an Oxford-trained, LA-based entrepreneur and activist. She is the founder and principal of The Applied Humanities, a PR and marketing agency serving mission-driven businesses and nonprofits. In 2018, she was elected to public office as a Trustee of the Altadena Library District, and has served as President of that Board since December 2019. She is currently the Chair of the National Women’s Political Caucus - Greater Pasadena Area, working to elect progressive women to local office, as well as an alumni advisor for Run For Something. She has been chair of the Los Angeles Regional Selection Committee for the Marshall Scholarship since 2015, working with the UK government to strengthen transatlantic ties via higher education.
